Mark DeSimone (b. 1981) received his Bachelor
of Music degree in trombone performance in 2004 from California State University, Northridge. He is currently pursuing a Master's degree in composition at San Jose State University, where he has worked with Dr. Brian Belet and Dr. Pablo Furman. His trombone quintet, "Two Mood Settings" was performed at the Idyllwild Summer Arts Festival, and his jazz orchestra compositions have been performed and recorded by the California State University, Northridge's Jazz "A" band. Mark's current projects include a piece for wind ensemble, a song set using his own text, orchestration and underscoring for a film, and a ballad for jazz orchestra. |
