Corey Keating currently resides in San Jose, CA, where he is pursuing a degree in music composition at San Jose State University.   In addition to his composing, Corey plays the piano and performs in both the Concert and Chamber Choirs.  

In Fall of 2008, his choral piece "Hidden is the Sky" was selected to be premiered at the Society of Composers, Inc. annual festival.   It was subsequently performed in April of 2009, by the San Jose State Concert Choir, under the direction of Clem Cano.   He was recently given the position of Student Assistant Editor at the Ira F. Brilliant Center for Beethoven Studies and was featured in the Fall '09 issue of the internationally acclaimed Beethoven Journal .   Current projects include a commission for horn player Mike Walker, with a concert premiere this coming spring, and a collaborative scoring project with the SJSU Dance department.
